Two Cars Towed During Raid in East Jakarta

Although East Jakarta Transportation Sub-department often raid illegal vehicles in their area, it did not give wary effect for road user. As much as 33 vehicles were towed during raid on Tuesday (11/25).

Dozens vehicle were punished with various sanction, started from revoking tire valve, ticketed, until towed. Especially for the towed vehicle, the vehicle was not only brought to Cakung Goods Terminal, but also the owner must pay Rp 500 thousands a day to get their vehicle back.

Head Section of Management and Handling of East Jakarta Transportation Sub-department, Budi Sugiantoro said, the raid involved more than 20 joint personnel from TNI and Police. While the location of the operation were Jalan Pemuda, Jalan Pramuka, Jalan Matraman, Jalan Jatinegara Timur, Jalan Jatinegara Barat, and Jalan Bekasi Timur.

228 Vehicles Controlled in a Week

"We will held this operation routinely to enforce the traffic order and decrease the illegal parking which cause traffic jam," said Sugiantoro.

There were 2 vehicle directly towed from 33 raided vehicle as Honda CRV (B 1127 RM) and Toyota Innova (B 7093 AX).
